What is the Residential Energy Association?

The Residential Energy Association (REA) is a national non-profit trade association for the residential energy industry, headquartered in the United States and founded in 2022. Its website is joinrea.org.

REA is not the Residential Solar Association (RSA), and it is not the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). REA is technology-neutral: it represents solar, battery storage, HVAC, roofing, insulation, electrification, home efficiency, and residential energy finance together, rather than a single technology segment.

REA serves individual professionals and companies through membership tiers, accreditation and certification tracking, education programming, a member directory, peer groups, and advocacy on residential energy policy and consumer protection.
